Editorial cycle

From question to correction

The standard covers text, imagery, video, translation and data. Accountability always remains human.

Standard version

Content Standards 1.0, July 2026. Public rules will be refined before launch.

  1. Question and scope

The author defines the purpose, audience, boundaries and potentially sensitive areas.

  2. Reliable sources

Priority goes to research, official statistics, archives and recognised institutions.

  3. Authorial work

The text explains context, separates facts from interpretation and avoids clichés and superlatives.

  4. Expert review

A country expert and scientific reviewer check facts, terminology and cultural sensitivity.

  5. Editing and accessibility

Material gains a clear structure, alt text, transcripts, metadata and meaningful links.

  6. Publication and corrections

Review dates and sources are shown, and readers can report an error.

AI is a tool,
not a source.

AI policy

It can assist a draft. It cannot replace review.

AI may assist drafting, translation and search. It is not an author or a source. Authors, experts and editors remain responsible for every claim.

Imagery

Generated imagery is limited to abstract or conceptual illustrations and must be labelled. Real people, traditions, rituals and places require licensed documentary photography.

Public commitments

What readers should see
